Larry Woodard is a highly regarded adman with over 25 years of agency experience. He has consistently led agencies he has helmed down the path of innovation on behalf of their clients.
Larry has created advertising for a long list of clients including General Motors, Motorola, Heineken, Sprint, Western Union, Comcast, GlaxoSmithKline, Kodak, Mars, Earthlink, the Snapple Beverage Group and many others. He has twice been awarded the O’Toole Award for Advertising Agency of the Year, has won a Gold Effie and one of the industry’s most prestigious awards, The Cannes Gold Lion for the Oprah Car Giveaway.
Born in Casablanca, Morocco into an American Air Force family he was raised all over spending parts of his childhood in Northern Africa, Germany, The United States and Italy. He is a self-described cultural anthropologist and an organic idea generator. He has a lifelong passion for world cultures and languages.
He is a co-author of: Inside the Minds: Advertising as a Branding Tool. He has served as Chair of the 4A’s NY Council, a Director of Advertising Week and is a weekly columnist for ABC News. He has served on many boards including those of the Y, the Spanish Action League and the Board of Visitors for Syracuse University’s Faulk School of Sport and Human Dynamics. He currently is a Director at International Speedway Corporation (NASCAR) and the V-Foundation for Cancer Research.
He is a frequent guest instructor and lecturer. He has written for a number of publications and appeared on CNN, CNBC, ABC and the BBC discusses advertising, marketing and popular culture. He is the co-author of Inside The Minds: Advertising As A Branding Tool and Point Me In The Right Direction, a book of daily devotionals.
